BIO

Kamiya is a recent recipient of the Blanche Colman Award (2018). Other grants she received were Marion & Jasper Whiting Foundation Fellowship and the A.R.T Fund (2017), Lillian Orlowsky & William Freed Foundation Grant (2016), Brother Thomas Fellowship (2015), and Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellowship in Painting (2006 & 2010). Kamiya’s work has been represented at Gallery NAGA in Boston since 2002. She has a BFA from Montserrat College of Art, and an MFA from the Massachusetts College of Art. She has been an instructor in the Painting and Drawing Program at Montserrat College of Art since 1999.
